2nd Place in two BWS Divisions, Tie-breaker in Kentucky

September 23, 2012- CALVERT CITY, Ky.- The regular season wrapped up this past Sunday on Kentucky Lake. After finishing second in the points standings in the TN Central Division, David was hoping for a title in the Kentucky Division. He entered the final Kentucky tournament trailing Kentucky Lake legend Billy Schroeder by 2 points. When the scales settled on Sunday afternoon, David ended up in a tie for first place with good friend Brent Anderson. Brent won the tournament, while David finished in the 5th spot. The tie-breaker came down to total weight for the year. Brent edged David by 2.5 pounds and took home the points championship. Prior to the final contestant weighing in, there was a three-way tie between Gnewikow, Anderson, and Schroeder.

"I couldn't have scripted this finish any better, with the exception of the tie-breaker result." David explained after the event. "Brent is a fantastic fisherman and a close friend of mine and Billy Schroeder is an absolute legend on this lake. I have the utmost respect for both of those guys. I wish the tie-breaker would have fallen my way, but the only way Brent could have won the points was to win the tournament. He did. Congrats Brent."
